The key to creamy Brussels sprouts is to roast them in the oven for just 20 to 40 minutes.

The cooking time depends on the degree of crispness or tenderness.

Do not change the prescribed roasting time or exceed it, otherwise you will end up with sprouts that taste of sulphur!

 

11. Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

Pasta salad is a delicious Italian invention that I can’t get enough of because it combines two of my favorite side dishes!

I like to make a broccoli tortellini salad to go with my grilled tilapia because the textures of the vegetables, pasta and fish contrast really well.

For the pasta salad, combine the blanched broccoli, tortellini, red onion, raisins, sunflower seeds and bacon.

 

For the dressing, combine the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar for a simple but delicious dressing.

There are countless ways to cook cauliflower, but for me, roasting is the best (and easiest, I must say) way.

 

Put it in the oven and it’s done!

When you roast this cruciferous vegetable, you turn it into a sweet and nutty dish that goes perfectly with tilapia.

You can even spice it up by stuffing it with parmesan cheese! It’s a simple addition, but the extra flavor makes the dish even more sublime.

If you want a new approach to roasting cauliflower, try this Middle Eastern method that is just as easy and delicious.

For this dish, it is not necessary to cut the cauliflower before roasting. Yes, put everything in the oven!

But before you do, smear it with tahini and garlic. Then sprinkle it with your favorite herbs and spices, like parsley and sesame seeds. That’s great.

 

13. Broccoli with cashew nuts

Steamed broccoli is already delicious with salt and pepper, but try adding soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and red pepper.

And what’s the best part? It’s very quick and easy to make. Simply mix the shredded cabbage and carrots into the mayonnaise sauce in a bowl and refrigerate for a few hours.

Why not add broccoli to the mix? It not only adds crunch, but also adds a nice touch to your colorful kale salad.
