The crab legs themselves are sweet and juicy. But once they are soaked in oil, they become a whole new level of goodness.


However, the type of oil is important. Don’t settle for margarine! Real butter is the key to making crab legs even more phenomenal – namely ghee.

To prepare it, just melt some plain butter in a saucepan and let it cool a bit. That way, the milk powder in the butter sinks to the bottom of the pan. The clear liquid on top is clarified butter – spoon it in and serve in a bowl.

You want to work a little harder? All you need is freshly squeezed lemon juice and garlic. Add these elements to your ghee and you have a sauce to die for. The lemon juice gives it a refreshing taste, while the garlic gives it a slight kick.

If you want to improve the sauce, add a little Worcestershire sauce and various herbs and spices such as rosemary, parsley, salt and pepper. Don’t use too much! Dipping should be kept simple and not too strong.

One last tip: The butter puree is a perfect combination with the warm crab legs. If you serve it cold, the butter will congeal, so you can use a different sauce in that case.

2. Dipping sauces

Although butter is best, you can also substitute it with other sauces for serving the crab legs. A delicious option is a combination of Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, lemon, horseradish and pepper. It’s sweet, refreshing and easy to make!

Here’s another idea: mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, dill, lemon juice, salt and pepper. It’s thick, creamy and delicious with crab.

3. Cheddar Berry Cookies
